Victor Valdes – old goalkeeper of Barcelona is about to join Mu with an 18 month contract after being a free agent since leaving the Catalan giants last summer. The player trainded in Carrington for 3 months to help him recovery from injury which he suffered in the past.
The appearence of Valdes will threat position of David Degea, this competition will help Degea improve his skill and experience.
Valdes had spent almost his youth at Barcelona when having nearly 20 years at this club.
With Barcelona, he won a lot of titles, including 3 Champions Leagues, 6 Laliga Cup…Besides, he also won World Cup in 2010 and Euro Cup in 2012 with Spain team.
United manager Louis van Gaal knows Valdes well – he gave the Spaniard his debut during his second spell as Barca boss.
Anders Lindegaard was informed to be on the move way from MU in this summer. He has not played any match for Mu in this season.
